Commander: Zodiark, Umbral God

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Mono-black aristocrats built around Zodiark, Umbral God. The deck creates token fodder, forces opponents to sacrifice creatures, and converts every death into cards, mana, and life drain. Zodiark is an expensive finishing board-shrink that grows whenever any non-Zodiark creature is sacrificed, so a busy board and a forced-sacrifice turn make him huge while clearing blockers. The deck's hidden payoff is Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern, which steals the permanents opponents are forced to give up; Westvale Abbey provides an emergency 9/7. Secondary paths are Ayara/Gray Merchant drain and a large Exsanguinate. Without infinite combos, the deck wins by attrition and one big X-spell rather than by assembling a two-card loop.
