Deck overview

This Grixis deck is helmed by Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin, focusing on an oppressive discard and wheel attrition strategy. The deck seeks to establish early mana acceleration through signets and Sol Ring, followed by deployment of discard-punishing enchantments like Waste Not, Liliana's Caress, and Megrim. Kefka lands reliably on Turn 4 to initiate hand destruction and net card advantage based on discarded card types. By Turn 5 to 6, the deck escalates into full resource denial with mass discard spells like Dark Deal and Windfall, augmented by asymmetric powerhouses such as Tergrid, God of Fright and Archfiend of Ifnir. Opponents are stripped of interaction and board presence while enduring massive life loss. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through accumulated discard burn, combat with stolen permanents, or transforming Kefka into Kefka, Ruler of Ruin alongside Psychosis Crawler for a decisive draw-and-drain finish.
