Deck overview

This deck is an Esper draw-go control deck commanded by Chromium, the Mutable. It operates almost entirely at instant speed, passing the turn with open mana to react to opposing threats or deploy flash creatures on opponents' end steps. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with low-cost rocks and establishing continuous card advantage engines such as Wavebreak Hippocamp, Slitherwisp, and Faerie Mastermind. The deck controls the board using versatile countermagic, efficient spot removal, and game-warping tempo pieces like Notion Thief and Hullbreaker Horror. Once control is established, Chromium, the Mutable flashes into play as an uncounterable 7/7 flying threat. Chromium quickly closes out the game through commander damage, powered by potent equipment such as Excalibur, Sword of Eden and Genji Glove, while discarding cards at instant speed to grant itself hexproof and unblockability against opposing interaction.
