Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis amass/temptation value deck built around Sauron, the Dark Lord. Sauron acts as both commander and engine: his amass triggers create an Army, his Army forces the Ring, and the Ring's discard-to-draw four keeps the hand full. The primary plan builds an oversized Orc Army with Saruman, the White Hand and Summons of Saruman, then finishes by either attacking with Sauron and the Army or one-shotting with Chandra's Ignition/Soul's Fire. The secondary path is a spell-slinger recursion plan using Kess, flashback spells, and Glamdring to grind through opponents. There is no double-faced commander or hidden commander; the deck is built around Sauron's card advantage and a giant Army.
