Deck overview

This Boros spellslinger deck centers on Lorehold, the Historian, leveraging its unique ability to give every instant and sorcery card in hand miracle {2}. Because the commander allows you to discard and draw during each opponent's upkeep, that draw is your first card drawn on their turn, enabling you to cast massive sorceries and instants at instant speed for just two mana. The deck capitalizes on this mechanic by packing game-ending high-mana spells such as Storm Herd, Apex of Power, Dance with Calamity, and Soulfire Eruption. While the engine generates massive tempo discounts, the deck does not rely on fast mana or infinite combos. Instead, it plays an attrition and board-control strategy with dense white removal, wiping opposing boards before deploying an overwhelming flying token army to close out the game over several combat phases.
