Merry and Pippin by PerfectMan34

Format: Commander

Commander: Merry, Warden of Isengard and Pippin, Warden of Isengard

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Abzan Food/token deck built around Merry and Pippin as a partner pair; the deck uses both commanders. Merry converts artifact-token entries into lifelink Soldiers, while Pippin makes Food and turns four Foods into a haste/pump finisher. The real engine is in the 99: Samwise Gamgee acts as a hidden commander, generating Food on every nontoken creature ETB and enabling the Cauldron Familiar + Viscera Seer drain loop. Secondary paths are token swarm combat with Campsite Cuisine/Akroma's Will and incremental drain from Mirkwood Bats/Agent of the Iron Throne. The deck wins by assembling a compact loop or overwhelming with pumped tokens.
