Deck overview

Kotis, the Fangkeeper headlines a Sultai Voltron and combat-theft strategy that leverages its indestructible commander to convert lethal combat swings into overwhelming free-cast value. Supported by a dense suite of 1-to-2 CMC ramp spells, the deck reliably deploys Kotis by Turn 3 and begins connecting on Turn 4 with unblockable equipment and evasion spells like Brotherhood Regalia and Enter the Enigma. Once Kotis connects, power doublers and massive pump spells—most notably Hatred, Berserk, and Inquisitor's Flail—allow Kotis to eliminate opponents via commander damage while exiling vast swaths of opposing libraries and casting all revealed nonland spells for free. Trigger doublers such as Felix Five-Boots and Roaming Throne compound this theft, while an elite protection suite featuring Fierce Guardianship, Heroic Intervention, and Tyvar's Stand insulates Kotis against non-destroy removal. The deck consistently closes games around Turn 7 through sequential combat eliminations backed by opponents' own stolen win conditions.
