Deck overview

Blech, Loafing Pest commands a Golgari midrange deck that converts incremental lifegain into permanent +1/+1 counters across Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. The deck establishes early lifegain triggers through creatures like Essence Warden and Prosperous Innkeeper, then expands its board with token makers like Blight Mound and Pest Infestation. Once assembled on Turn 4, the engine distributes counters across the swarm, setting up a decisive Turn 6 combat onset powered by trample enablers like Blossoming Bogbeast and Garruk's Uprising, or non-combat drain from Mirkwood Bats. The list features solid removal in Assassin's Trophy and Culling Ritual, alongside high functional redundancy among its creature base. Because it lacks stack interaction and generic tutors, it relies on timing and resilient token generators to survive board wipes.
