Deck overview

Gonti, Night Minister is a theft-and-treasure engine: evasive creatures trigger the second ability to exile playable top cards, and casting those cards generates Treasures via the first ability. The primary plan is to build a critical Treasure count and win with Revel in Riches, with Mirkwood Bats/Academy Manufactor as a token-drain plan B, and Gray Merchant plus mass recursion as a life-swing plan C. The commander also turns on Petty Larceny's freerunning cost and can be supplemented by Rev, Tithe Extractor and Grim Hireling. There is no true hidden commander; Rev is the closest thing to a backup engine. The deck is a deliberate, grindy mono-black engine rather than a fast combo deck.
