Deck overview

This mono-red Dragon tribal deck is commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen and aims to overpower opponents through a relentless onslaught of large flying creatures. The deck operates by deploying early mana rocks and tribal cost reducers, such as Dragonlord's Servant and Dragonspeaker Shaman, to accelerate into its 6-mana commander by Turn 5. Once Lathliss resolves, subsequent Dragon casts double the board presence by generating 5/5 flying tokens on entry. Synergies like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Warstorm Surge convert creature deployment into immediate board control and direct player damage. Standalone powerhouses including Utvara Hellkite, Terror of Mount Velus, and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames provide alternative win conditions that do not strictly rely on the commander. While the deck boasts high redundancy and aerial combat power, its heavy reliance on the combat step and lack of stack protection leave it vulnerable to well-timed sweepers and targeted removal.
