Warp Maxxing (Abaddon, the Despoiler) by leftlegcemetery

Format: Commander

Commander: Abaddon the Despoiler

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis "life-loss cascade" deck built around Abaddon the Despoiler. The core is a dense suite of upkeep pain-and-draw permanents - Creeping Bloodsucker, Keen Duelist, Duskmantle Seer, Stormfist Crusader, Scrawling Crawler, Descent into Avernus, and Court of Ambition - that bleed the entire table every turn. That accumulated life loss sets Abaddon's cascade number high, letting the deck chain-cast spells from hand for explosive velocity. The chains feed a "cast from exile" subtheme (Prosper, Tome-Bound, Nalfeshnee, Keeper of Secrets) and pour into heavy demons like Rakdos, Lord of Riots, Sauron, the Dark Lord, and Hideous Taskmaster. The win is damage-based: drain multipliers Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Sower of Discord turn a Gray Merchant of Asphodel spike or mid-combat drain into lethal, while Neheb, the Eternal and Descent treasures extend turns. It is a fair, value-forward midrange deck with no infinite combos.
