Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue aggro-control strategy led by Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive. Tetsuko grants unblockable status to all creatures with power or toughness 1 or less, turning small utility creatures and Homunculi into guaranteed combat threats. The deck capitalizes on this evasion through coastal piracy effects, drawing multiple cards each combat phase to sculpt a hand packed with interaction and alternate win conditions. It establishes an unblockable draw engine by Turn 4 and reaches critical onset around Turn 6 by prowling Notorious Throng for extra turns and tokens, charging Strixhaven Stadium, or setting up hand-size win conditions like Twenty-Toed Toad and Triskaidekaphile. While vulnerable to mass creature removal, its immense card velocity allows it to rebuild quickly and hold up counterspells for protection.
