Format: Commander

Commander: Magar of the Magic Strings

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Magar of the Magic Strings commands a graveyard-centric Rakdos spell-reanimation strategy. The deck seeks to discard or tutor game-ending instants and sorceries into the graveyard, including Savage Beating, Rise of the Eldrazi, Breach the Multiverse, and Blood for the Blood God!. Magar then animates these spells into face-down three-power creatures that cast free copies whenever they deal combat damage to an opponent. By granting these creatures evasion through equipment, shadow, or landwalk, the deck connects reliably. It wins immediately by taking infinite combats with a repeated Savage Beating or by chaining extra turns and overwhelming board wipes to demolish enemy life totals.
