Commander: Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a classic Izzet spellslinger/draw deck helmed by Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, built around the iconic Curiosity combo: once Niv-Mizzet is on the battlefield, Curiosity turns every card drawn into a point of damage, and every point of damage into another card drawn - an infinite loop that ends the game. The deck supports this with a dense draw suite of wheels (Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, Time Reversal, Winds of Change) and X-spell draw, plus five extra-turn effects (Temporal Mastery, Capture of Jingzhou, Walk the Aeons, Alrund's Epiphany, Alchemist's Gambit) that chain with Niv-Mizzet's pings. Niv-Mizzet, Parun in the 99 provides a redundant, uncounterable combo piece, while The Locust God and Niv-Mizzet, Visionary offer alternate value and token-swarm paths. The deck is a focused, draw-heavy combo engine that wants to land its dragon and bury the table in card advantage.
