Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius tribal aggro and tempo engine built around Kastral, the Windcrested. It curves out early with low-cost, evasive Bird creatures before deploying Kastral on Turn 4. Because Kastral triggers whenever one or more Birds deal combat damage to any player, splitting attacks across multiple opponents generates compounding card draw, free reanimation, and board-wide +1/+1 counters each combat step. Anthems such as Gravitational Shift, Empyrean Eagle, and Murmuration rapidly accelerate the clock, converting small flyers into a lethal aerial armada that eliminates the table by Turn 7. A tight defensive suite of efficient countermagic (Swan Song, Dovin's Veto), targeted exile removal (Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile), and protective spells (Dawn's Truce, Sephara, Sky's Blade) shields the board from opposing disruption while situational hatebirds like Aven Mindcensor and Aven Interrupter slow down opposing game plans.
