Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos combat-cheat strategy commanded by The Infamous Cruelclaw. The primary objective is casting Cruelclaw on curve at turn 3 and attacking on turn 4. Menace provides built-in evasion, allowing Cruelclaw to deal combat damage to an opponent and trigger its ability. When the ability resolves, the pilot exiles library cards until hitting a nonland card, discarding a card from hand to cast it without paying its mana cost. The 99 contains an enormous concentration of high-impact payoffs, including Eldrazi titans, dragons, and massive asymmetric sweepers. Secondary lines leverage reanimation spells such as Dread Return and Beacon of Unrest to recur bombs discarded to fuel Cruelclaw or cycling effects. While the deck possesses explosive offensive potential, it runs minimal ramp and protection, making it reliant on Cruelclaw connecting safely in combat.
