Deck overview

This deck harnesses Lorehold, the Historian to transform high-cost, game-ending instants and sorceries into devastating 2-mana miracles. By pairing Lorehold's upkeep rummage trigger with topdeck manipulation tools like Penance, Scroll Rack, and Library of Leng, you can consistently cast monumental spells like Storm Herd, Rise of the Eldrazi, and Apex of Power during opponents' upkeeps. Untapping mana rocks like Bender's Waterskin and Victory Chimes guarantee you always have the {2} mana needed to pay miracle costs on opposing turns. A resilient interaction and protection suite featuring Deflecting Swat, Teferi's Protection, and Avatar's Wrath preserves your engine while neutralizing opposing threats. Combat disruption cards such as Disrupt Decorum and Taunt from the Rampart manipulate the battlefield, forcing opponents to attack each other until your flying swarms swoop in for decisive lethal strikes.
