Deck overview

This deck executes a focused Selesnya Voltron strategy spearheaded by Sergeant John Benton. Utilizing Benton's low mana cost, haste, and trample, the deck establishes an early combat presence on Turn 3. When Benton connects, his Share Intelligence trigger turns every point of power into symmetrical card draw, allowing the pilot to weaponize cheap pump spells like Giant Growth, Groundswell, and Tifa's Limit Break into explosive hand refills. By Turn 4, chained pump spells deliver one-shot commander lethal strikes to individual opponents. Drawing dozens of cards ensures an abundant supply of 1-mana protection spells like Snakeskin Veil and Overprotect to insulate Benton through opposing interaction. Without extra combat steps, the deck eliminates the table sequentially by Turn 6 across two opponent response cycles, trading political card gifts for decisive commander knockouts.
