Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Rakdos stax and midrange combo list commanded by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. It leverages format-ceiling acceleration, including 0-drop artifacts and dark rituals, to establish an oppressive early board. Valgavoth serves as an asymmetric card-draw engine that triggers whenever opponents lose life on their turns, turning passive damage from Orcish Bowmasters, Razorkin Needlehead, and fetchlands into massive card advantage. Meanwhile, a dense suite of stax pieces such as Blood Moon, Cursed Totem, and Opposition Agent chokes opposing mana and interaction. The deck converts this resource advantage into rapid, compact wins using the Dualcaster Mage and Molten Duplication infinite token combo, Bolas's Citadel storm lines, or Underworld Breach loops. With efficient stack redirection and reanimation backup, the deck presents consistent Turn 3 win attempts while remaining resilient to opposing disruption.
