Deck overview

This deck is an Esper lifegain pillowfort control strategy commanded by Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. From the command zone, Oloro supplies passive lifegain that cushions your life total and fuels card-draw engines like Well of Lost Dreams and Rhystic Study. The early game focuses on deploying efficient mana rocks and establishing asymmetric tax layers through Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Authority of the Consuls. These defenses stall aggressive combat decks and buy time to assemble overwhelming board states. In the mid-to-late game, the deck transitions into lethal artifact and enchantment combos. The primary win line pairs Bolas's Citadel, Sensei's Divining Top, and Aetherflux Reservoir to cast through the library and eliminate all three opponents with 50-damage bursts. Alternatively, Queza, Augur of Agonies and Lich's Mastery create an infinite drain loop upon drawing a single card. With robust wipe resilience and Grand Abolisher protection, the deck reliably grinds out opponents before closing the game.
