Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Orzhov legendary-matters deck helmed by Ardbert, Warrior of Darkness blends +1/+1 counter synergies, combat value, and resilient recursion. The commander's white-and-black spell triggers spread counters and grant keywords across legendary creatures, turning each cast into a cumulative board pump. The 99 is packed with legendary payoffs (Tymna the Weaver, Venat, Heart of Hydaelyn, Elenda, the Dusk Rose), strong protection spells (Teferi's Protection, Flawless Maneuver), and a deep recursion suite (Primevals' Glorious Rebirth, Loyal Retainers, Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle). The primary path to victory is combat damage via an overwhelming legendary army, often closed out by Akroma's Will or War of the Last Alliance's double-strike turn. The deck forgoes fast infinite combos in favor of layered inevitability, grinding out opponents through repeated board presence and wipe recovery.
