Deck overview

This deck combines classic Thallid and Fungus spore mechanics with Atraxa, Praetors' Voice to run a high-synergy counter proliferation and Saproling swarm engine. Early turns focus on establishing mana ramp via low-cost rocks, mana creatures, and depletion lands that stay charged through proliferate triggers. Once Atraxa enters on Turn 3 or 4, spore counters, +1/+1 counters, and charge counters accumulate at an accelerated pace. Mid-game payoffs like Cathars' Crusade, Tendershoot Dryad, Doubling Season, and Eldrazi Monument convert wide token boards into lethal combat threats by Turn 6. The deck controls opposing creature boards using repeatable Parallax Wave exile, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and Nemata, Primeval Warden. While resilient against single-target removal and destroy sweepers thanks to Heroic Intervention and built-in indestructible counters, the deck relies on combat damage and remains susceptible to instant-speed stack interaction and mass exile effects.
