Commander: Magus Lucea Kane

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a Temur "X-spell" tribal helmed by Magus Lucea Kane, built around the Tyranid creature type and the ravenous keyword. The primary game plan is to ramp into the commander, then use her tap ability to copy massive X-cost spells - most often ravenous creatures like Exocrine, Genesis Hydra, and Tervigon - to create overwhelming board presence. The commander's combat trigger puts +1/+1 counters on a creature, synergizing with Hardened Scales and Clamavus to quickly scale threats. The deck wins through combat damage from giant, trampling creatures, with Exocrine providing a back-breaking board wipe and direct damage to all opponents. The First Tyrannic War doubles counters and can cheat a huge creature into play, while Finale of Revelation refuels for a final push. The deck is a mid-range value engine that leans heavily on the commander to copy spells and produce mana, but it lacks a compact infinite combo and relies on incremental advantage.
