Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Mardu aggro-cheat build helmed by Kaalia of the Vast. The game plan leverages an explosive mana acceleration package—featuring Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, Sol Ring, and Mana Vault—to deploy Kaalia ahead of curve on Turn 2 or Turn 3. Once Kaalia attacks on Turn 4, her triggered ability cheats overwhelming Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Payoffs like Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and Aurelia, the Warleader rapidly multiply combat damage to dismantle opponents over two combat cycles. The deck features unconditional tutors such as Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor to ensure consistent access to key threats and targeted removal. However, the plan is inherently reliant on Kaalia surviving a full turn cycle due to the absence of dedicated haste equipment, making timing and targeted protection pivotal to closing games before opponents stabilize.
