Commander: Horobi, Death's Wail

Deck overview

This is a Horobi, Death's Wail control-swarm hybrid built around a full playset of 31 Rat Colony. The commander converts every targeting spell or ability in the deck - and every targeting spell your opponents cast - into unconditional creature destruction, giving the deck a brutal board-control engine. Meanwhile, the Rat Colony swarm grows exponentially: each Rat pumps every other Rat, and Thrumming Stone, Secret Salvage, and Desperate Research let the deck chain or mass-fetch Rats to reach critical mass. The primary win is combat damage from an overwhelming Rat horde, with Crypt Rats as a mana-sink finisher that drains the whole table. The deck is a classic "kill everything, then swarm" strategy that leans heavily on its commander for the control half and on its 31 redundant Rats for the kill.
