Deck overview

This mono-green Hydra tribal deck is helmed by Gargos, Vicious Watcher, whose cost-reduction ability makes every hydra dramatically cheaper and whose fight trigger turns every targeted spell into removal. The primary game plan is to ramp aggressively, deploy Gargos, then chain huge hydras that grow through +1/+1 counter synergies and overwhelm the table with trample-fueled combat damage. There are no infinite combos; victory comes from sheer brute force: Kalonian Hydra doubles all counters each turn, Hydra Omnivore spreads damage to every opponent, and Primordial Hydra doubles itself every upkeep. Innkeeper's Talent and Benevolent Hydra amplify counter generation, while Garruk's Uprising and Tribute to the World Tree keep the hand full. The deck is a straightforward but explosive beatdown machine that wins through inevitable trample damage.
