Deck overview

This is a classic Mardu Vampire tribal deck helmed by Edgar Markov, leveraging his Eminence ability to generate a 1/1 Vampire token each time you cast another Vampire. The primary game plan is to deploy a dense swarm of low-cost Vampires, quickly amass a wide board, and overwhelm opponents through combat damage amplified by lords and anthems, while incidental life-gain and drain effects (Sanctum Seeker, Cruel Celebrant, Sanguine Bond) provide additional reach. The commander himself is a powerful attacker with haste and a pump effect, but the deck functions well enough without him due to the sheer redundancy of Vampire creatures. Secondary win conditions include Twilight Prophet for card advantage and life drain, and Ill-Gotten Inheritance for persistent pressure. The deck forgoes infinite combos entirely, relying on raw tribal synergy and incremental advantage.
