IRON FISTS by rokoche45

Format: Commander

Commander: The Archimandrite

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Archimandrite is a single-faced, five-mana back-row commander for a Jeskai Monk token strategy, not a double-faced commander. The primary plan is to resolve Monastery Mentor, Aligned Heart, and Jeskai Ascendancy, then chain cheap noncreature spells: each spell makes Monks, pumps the team, and often replaces itself. A secondary life-gain route runs through Soulfire Grand Master, Rhox Faithmender, and The Wind Crystal, keeping the commander's hand-size life gain relevant for its power pump. The Archimandrite's upkeep life gain turns every Monk, Advisor, and Artificer into a larger attacker, while tapping three of them draws cards. Narset, Enlightened Exile and Elsha of the Infinite are the closest things to auxiliary engines, but there is no true hidden commander; the deck is built around the Monk token shell.
