Deck overview

This mono-black deck is helmed by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on Zombie tribal synergies and aristocrat drain engines. In the early turns, it establishes mana fixing, low-cost utility Zombies, and card-draw engines like Cryptbreaker and Undead Augur. By Turn 5, it deploys Gisa and begins sacrificing high-power Zombies to rapidly multiply token armies. As the board expands, tribal lords such as Death Baron, Lord of the Accursed, and Undead Warchief turn 2/2 tokens into lethal attackers with menace and deathtouch. Concurrently, death-trigger payoffs including Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Vengeful Dead, and Plague Belcher drain opponents whenever creatures die in combat or to sacrifice outlets. Standalone powerhouses like Grave Titan, Bolas's Citadel, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel provide devastating burst damage and recovery. While vulnerable to board wipes and lacking stack interaction, the deck presents overwhelming recursive pressure and inevitable life drain.
