Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos midrange and burn-combo strategy centered on Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug transforms any noncombat damage dealt to it into an equal number of Treasure tokens. By leveraging repeatable damage engines like Pyrohemia and Pestilence, the deck turns self-inflicted damage into infinite or massive mana generation while keeping opposing creature boards completely wiped. Built-in haste and indestructibility allow Smaug to attack immediately for 8 flying commander damage while threatening instant-speed sweepers on opponent turns. Secondary damage-reflection creatures like Brash Taunter, Stuffy Doll, and Ill-Tempered Loner punish large board wipes like Blasphemous Act by redirecting lethal damage straight to opponents' life totals. Backed by token payoffs like Mirkwood Bats and Mayhem Devil, the deck transitions smoothly from board control to rapid table-wide elimination.
