Deck overview

Fynn, the Fangbearer commands an aggressive mono-green poison deck designed to close games rapidly through combat damage. By granting two poison counters whenever a creature with deathtouch deals combat damage to a player, Fynn turns low-cost utility creatures like Moss Viper, Ankle Biter, and Tajuru Blightblade into lethal early-game threats. The deck establishes its operational board state on Turn 2 and applies critical lethal pressure by Turn 4. Proliferate engines including Evolution Sage, Contagious Vorrac, and Smell Fear accelerate poison accumulation, bypassing blockers once initial counters land. Supporting artifacts such as Ensnaring Bridge and Crawlspace limit incoming attacks to protect your life total while you push for combat connections. However, the deck suffers from thin card draw, sparse interactive answers, and minimal instant-speed protection for its fragile creatures. Without Fynn, the deck must pivot to higher-cost infect and toxic threats, slowing its clock significantly.
