C04 - Red Dragon by LeeDicious

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent leads a mono-red Dragon/Treasure strategy that wants to snowball a hoard of artifacts into overwhelming direct damage. The core plan is to accelerate with cost-reducers and Treasure makers, cast Smaug early thanks to his haste, then let his attack trigger convert the number of Treasures you control into repeatable burn. The deck supports this with a dense Dragon package - Goldspan Dragon, Dracogenesis, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Utvara Hellkite - that turns Treasure mana into giant flying boards and ETB pings. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through Desert Were-Worm extra combat turns, Alchemist's Talent table-burn, Hellkite Tyrant's twenty-artifact alternate win, and a massive final Smaug attack.
