Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov aggro-tempo engine built around Abigale, Eloquent First-Year. The core strategy turns severe creature drawbacks into massive advantages. Undercosted monsters like Phyrexian Soulgorger, Rotting Regisaur, and Lupine Prototype boast immense stats but carry debilitating penalties such as upkeep sacrifices, forced discards, or attack bans. When Abigale enters the battlefield, her ability strips away all text from one of these behemoths while granting flying, first strike, and lifelink counters. The result is a hyper-efficient aerial strike force that gains vast amounts of life while rapidly eliminating opponents. A dense package of blink spells like Ephemerate and Cloudshift lets you repeatedly re-trigger Abigale to neutralize newly played beaters or blank critical opposing threats. Sweepers like Damning Verdict break parity entirely by wiping all counterless enemy boards while preserving your upgraded army. High-power card draw engines keep resources flowing to finish the table.
