Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Voltron-Control strategy piloted by Dragonlord Ojutai. The primary objective is to exploit Ojutai's static ability, which grants it hexproof as long as it remains untapped. By pairing the commander with redundant vigilance enablers like Brave the Sands, Always Watching, and Captain America's Shield, Ojutai attacks freely without tapping, keeping permanent hexproof protection while generating card advantage through its combat damage Anticipate trigger. Damage multipliers like Blackblade Reforged, Fireshrieker, and Sword of Feast and Famine accelerate the commander damage clock to eliminate opponents in rapid succession. The rest of the list features a dense suite of countermagic, spot removal, and pillowfort pieces such as Magus of the Moat and Propaganda, which stall opposing ground offenses. Resilient protection spells like Robe of Stars and Selfless Spirit shield the board against sweepers, with Approach of the Second Sun serving as an alternative win condition.
