Deck overview

This is a Dimir Horror/Nightmare mill-and-exile deck helmed by Umbris, Fear Manifest. The core plan floods the board with Horrors and Nightmares to repeatedly trigger Umbris's enter-the-battlefield exile mill, fattening Umbris into a massive evasive beater while stripping opponents' libraries. Parallel mill engines-Consuming Aberration, Phenax, God of Deception, The Mindskinner, Maddening Cacophony, Tasha's Hideous Laughter, and Mind Grind-provide redundant paths to empty libraries. A classic Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank loop supplies a true infinite finish once Ascension is quested up, and exile hosers like Leyline of the Void, Dauthi Voidwalker, and Planar Void both hate opposing graveyards and feed Umbris's power. The deck wins through library depletion, commander combat, or the Ascension drain loop rather than a single fragile line.
