Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Selesnya equine tribal and lifegain combat deck commanded by Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn. The primary strategy curves out with low-cost Unicorns, Pegasi, and Horses with lifelink, deploying Lathiel on Turn 4 to convert life gained into +1/+1 counters distributed across the team each end step. Over subsequent turns, the board snowballs through token-generating and stat-multiplying payoffs like Crested Sunmare, Thurid, Mare of Destiny, and Archon of Sun's Grace, culminating in lethal multi-turn combat pressure or an overrun via Overwhelming Stampede. Because the list adheres closely to a creature-type theme, it trades competitive interaction and fast mana for high creature density and thematic synergy. Its main vulnerabilities include prolonged exposure to board wipes, low card velocity, and a near-total absence of targeted creature removal.
