Deck overview

This Simic deck commands a high-synergy Sea Monster stompy strategy led by Kiora, Sovereign of the Deep. The game plan accelerates through dense 1-3 CMC ramp spells and high-power mana dorks like Fanatic of Rhonas and Selvala, Heart of the Wilds to deploy Kiora on turn 4. Once Kiora is established, casting 6+ mana value Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents triggers her pseudo-cascade ability, cheating additional high-impact spells into play without paying mana costs. The threat suite features uncounterable and ward-protected beaters such as Koma, World-Eater, Hullbreaker Horror, and Simic Sky Swallower. These massive bodies establish a decisive board state by turn 5 and close out opponents across two combat cycles by turn 7 with trampling combat damage supported by Garruk's Uprising. The deck disrupts opponents through targeted removal and repeatable bounce engines like Brinelin, the Moon Kraken. While susceptible to untap-phase sweepers, native ward and independent high-power threats ensure reliable execution.
