Deck overview

This Sultai Elfball deck is commanded by Thranduil, the Elvenking, serving as a versatile combo engine and card advantage hub. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with premier mana elves like Priest of Titania, Devoted Druid, and Llanowar Elves, while filtering key cards into the graveyard with Buried Alive, Fauna Shaman, and self-mill effects. Once Thranduil enters the battlefield, he inherits all activated abilities of Elf cards in your graveyard. By assembling Devoted Druid and Immaculate Magistrate in the graveyard, Thranduil creates an infinite loop of +1/+1 counters and infinite green mana. The deck converts this loop into an immediate table kill on Turn 5 by activating Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord's ability to sacrifice an arbitrarily large creature. If the combo is disrupted, the deck seamlessly transitions into wide Elf token swarms, Lathril, Blade of the Elves drain activations, and overwhelming combat overruns.
