MARALEN by user5113585

Format: Commander

Commander: Maralen, Fae Ascendant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant leads a Sultai Elf/Faerie value deck that turns every tribal creature into card advantage. The primary plan is to deploy cheap Elves and Faeries, build Maralen's exile pool, and use her once-per-turn free cast to chain into more bodies. Secondary paths are go-wide Elf tokens with Imperious Perfect and Lys Alana Huntmaster, accelerated by mana dorks such as Elvish Archdruid, and finished by Lathril's activation or a large alpha strike after Trystan's Command. There is no hidden commander: Lathril is a payoff, not the deck's core. The Staff of Domination plus a five-Elf Archdruid/Priest loop can provide infinite mana to Walking Ballista, but with only Reshape and Formidable Speaker as tutors, that line is incidental. Maralen is the engine; without her, the deck becomes ordinary elf-ball.
