Deck overview

This deck is an Esper spellslinger control and burn strategy commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The primary game plan revolves around leveraging Y'shtola's triggered ability, which deals 2 damage to each opponent and gains 2 life whenever a noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater is cast. By enchanting Y'shtola with curiosity effects like Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, and Helm of the Ghastlord, every 3+ mana noncreature spell draws three cards, instantly turning removal and utility spells into massive card advantage. The list is packed with high-impact 3+ mana spells, including free interaction like Deadly Rollick, Snuff Out, Force of Negation, and Misdirection, allowing the deck to protect its board and clear threats without losing velocity. Win conditions scale through trigger multipliers like Roaming Throne, non-legendary clone makers like Irenicus's Vile Duplication, lifegain punishers like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Enduring Tenacity, and token engines like Shark Typhoon.
