Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed turns Esper control into a life-drain deck. The primary plan is to land Y'shtola, protect her, and cast noncreature spells with mana value 3+ to chip every opponent while drawing cards from life loss. The clean finish is Bloodthirsty Conqueror plus Enduring Tenacity: any life lost by an opponent is gained, then drained by Tenacity into an infinite loop, started by Y'shtola's trigger. A large draw/control package helps find the pair, and Papalymo Totolymo and Exsanguinate provide backup drain. The deck can also grind with removal, counters, and commander damage, but its real strength is turning one combo trigger into a table kill.
