Deck overview

This Mardu deck is piloted by Edgar Markov, leveraging his Eminence ability to generate continuous 1/1 Vampire tokens whenever Vampire spells are cast, regardless of whether Edgar is on the battlefield. The strategy synergizes aggressive token generation with an aristocratic drain core and a compact infinite combo. The deck utilizes low-cost vampires to build a resilient board, converting tokens into explosive card advantage via Skullclamp and mana through sacrifice rituals like Culling the Weak. The primary win condition revolves around assembling a two-card life-drain loop using Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, Sanguine Bond, or Starscape Cleric. Initiating a single point of damage or lifegain immediately drains all opponents to zero life. Supported by seven board sweepers and robust black card draw engines like Necropotence and Bolas's Citadel, the deck transitions seamlessly between wide combat pressure and instant-speed combo finishes.
