Format: Commander

Commander: Meren of Clan Nel Toth

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Meren of Clan Nel Toth pilots a Golgari sacrifice-and-reanimation grind deck. The plan is to let creatures die to generate experience counters and trigger death payoffs, then use Meren's end-step trigger to recur a high-impact creature every turn. The main finisher is Kokusho, the Evening Star, drained on repeat while Zulaport Cutthroat, Falkenrath Noble, and Poison-Tip Archer add pings. Secondary paths are mass reanimation via Living Death, resilient beaters like Wurmcoil Engine, and the double-faced land Westvale Abbey flipping into Ormendahl, Profane Prince. The commander is the deck's engine; no face is used as a hidden commander.
