Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Black Reanimator strategy helmed by Liliana the Repentant. The deck focuses on stocking the graveyard rapidly using efficient self-mill engines, dredge creatures, and dedicated tutors like Entomb and Buried Alive. By Turn 4, it leverages cheap reanimation spells such as Reanimate, Victimize, and Doomed Necromancer to cheat dominant high-mana threats into play ahead of curve, including Archon of Cruelty, Vilis, Broker of Blood, and Ulamog's Dreadsire. Alongside explosive reanimation lines, the deck integrates an oppressive attrition package featuring Braids, Cabal Minion, Archfiend of Depravity, and edict creatures to drain opposing resources and choke creature-based boards. While the list lacks stack protection and closes games through traditional combat steps over multiple turn cycles, its extreme density of reanimation effects and graveyard recursion makes its value engine exceptionally resilient to single-target removal.
