Deck overview

This competitive Commander deck is helmed by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth and focuses on blistering combo velocity. By converting life into black mana, the deck cheats the standard mana curve to cast high-impact spells turns ahead of schedule. Supported by premier fast mana like Dark Ritual, Lotus Petal, and Mana Vault, the deck regularly deploys K'rrik on Turn 1 or 2. Once K'rrik is active, you chain tutors such as Entomb, Buried Alive, and Beseech the Mirror to establish game-winning reanimation loops. Key finishers include Hoarding Broodlord lines with Saw in Half, Peer into the Abyss, or Necrotic Ooze combining Asmodeus the Archfiend and Skirge Familiar abilities to draw the library and drain opponents with Gray Merchant of Asphodel. While exceptionally fast and resilient to single disruption events, the deck relies heavily on its life total and requires careful navigation around opposing interaction.
