Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai combat-theft midrange strategy led by Gonti, Canny Acquisitor. It establishes an early board state with cheap, unblockable creatures such as Slither Blade, Triton Shorestalker, and Invisible Stalker. Once Gonti or parallel saboteur engines like Toski, Bearer of Secrets and Edric, Spymaster of Trest enter the battlefield, every combat step generates substantial card advantage by drawing cards and exiling spells from opponents' libraries with a casting cost discount. The deck transitions into the late game through massive mana generation from Grim Hireling and Old Gnawbone, double triggers from Felix Five-Boots, and land-denial locks from Nature's Will. It closes games by converting stolen resources, scaling combat damage, or utilizing lethal burst combinations like Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Unstoppable Slasher. Robust free and low-cost interaction protects the engine against opposing threats.
