Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity mono-red Voltron deck commanded by Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos. The strategy focuses on casting Alexios early and equipping it with protective gear, evasion, and damage doublers. Because Alexios untaps, gains a +1/+1 counter, and attacks on every player's turn, it deals lethal commander damage across the table in just two turn rotations. The deck leverages equipment that stays attached while Alexios changes controllers, ensuring that card draw triggers, hexproof, and evasion benefit the owner while forcing opponents to bludgeon each other. Built-in sacrifice immunity prevents opponents from utilizing their own sacrifice outlets to remove the commander. Supporting spells include redirection magic like Deflecting Swat to turn enemy removal into protection, alongside nonbasic land punishment like Blood Moon. The deck plays quickly and aggressively, demanding immediate answers from all opponents before commander damage scales out of reach.
