Format: Commander

Commander: Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder spearheads a proactive combo deck designed to overwhelm opponents through rapid mana acceleration, explosive cascade chains, and compact infinite win conditions. While Yidris provides immense mid-game card advantage by giving spells cascade after combat damage, the deck does not rely on its commander to win. Instead, it leverages efficient tutors, fast mana rituals, and cost reducers to assemble deterministic finishing lines. Primary routes include the Dualcaster Mage and Saw in Half copy loop to create infinite attackers, infinite combats via Breath of Fury with Rionya, Fire Dancer or Loyal Apprentice, and high storm counts using Birgi, God of Storytelling with Grinning Ignus into Aetherflux Reservoir.
