Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Mono-Red aggressive stax strategy built around Slicer, Hired Muscle. By casting Slicer converted on Turn 1 or 2 via dense fast mana, the deck turns every player's combat phase into a lethal assault. Slicer attacks for double strike damage on your turn, then untaps and attacks goaded on every opponent's turn, outputting 24 commander damage per rotation unassisted. To prevent opponents from executing faster combo wins or removing Slicer, the list deploys low-cost lock pieces including Blood Moon, Cursed Totem, Torpor Orb, Weathered Runestone, and Vexing Bauble. These artifacts cleanly break parity, shutting off opposing creature abilities, enter-the-battlefield triggers, and free counterspells while Slicer continues to pressure life totals. High-impact equipment like Commander's Plate and targeted redirection spells protect Slicer and accelerate the table clock, closing games reliably by Turn 3 to 4.
