Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Ninja Tempo Burn strategy commanded by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary game plan deploys cheap, evasive one-drop creatures on Turn 1 to enable commander ninjutsu on Turn 2. Because commander ninjutsu is an activated ability that bypasses both spell countermagic and commander tax, Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow enters combat reliably and generates immediate card advantage and table-wide life loss. The deck leverages topdeck manipulation such as Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault, and Insatiable Avarice to stack high-mana-value spells like Shadow of Mortality, Dig Through Time, and extra-turn sorceries directly on top of the library. This turns each unblocked Ninja trigger into a massive burn spell that damages all three opponents simultaneously. The deck protects its proactive tempo with a dense suite of pitch spells and free interaction including Foil, Thwart, Daze, and Snuff Out, closing out games on Turn 5.
